Instructions for Authors of Accepted Papers


Conference Format and Proceedings

The conference will include oral presentations of accepted papers and invited talks. All accepted and invited papers will appear in the conference proceedings to be published by Springer-Verlag as a volume in their Lecture Notes in Artificial Intelligence which is part of the Springer-Verlag Lecture Notes in Computer Science Series.

It is expected that one of your coauthors will be presenting the paper at the conference. If none of the authors is registered to attend the conference, the paper will not be included in the proceedings. Registration materials are available through the conference web page. Please follow the instructions given in the registration form while registering for the conference. Housing and related information is also available on the conference web page.

Please follow the instructions given below for preparing and submitting the final camera-ready versions of the manuscript for publication. Manuscripts that do not conform to the formatting instructions will not be included in the proceedings by the publisher. The manuscripts are due on or before May 7, 1998. Your cooperation in this matter is greatly appreciated.

LaTeX2e, LaTeX, TeX, and Microsoft Word Macros for preparing the camera-ready versions of the manuscript are available on line here.

Please use the Macros provided for "Proceedings and Other Multi-Author Volumes" in preparing your manuscripts.

Please send A SINGLE uuencoded tar file containing LaTeX2e source file, PS or EPS files for figures, and a final postscript (PS) file for the manuscript by electronic mail on or before MAY 7, 1998 to icgi98-submissions@cs.iastate.edu

PLEASE DO NOT SEND FILES AS ATTACHMENTS. IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO SEND THE uuencoded tar file by EMAIL, PLEASE send, along with the hardcopy version of the manuscript, a 3.5" floppy in IBM PC format containing your source (input) files, e.g. LaTeX files for the text and PS or EPS files for figures, the final DVI file, the final PS file, and, if possible, a PDF file of the final version of your contribution on a diskette.

Regardless of how you send the postscript file, please avoid using the option "reverse order" when generating the postscript file.
